I just couldn't resist drawing these pups - especially as I'd waited ten years since photographing them!

I wanted keep this Clumber Spaniel composition focussed on the pups with a simple story to tell. You will have noticed the chewed handle of the trowel? Well, now the busy pup is eyeing the one in the seed box. Is it trying to wake it's friend? I think not - it wants it for itself!

This print was originally released as a small, deluxe edition of 10 gicée prints - they sold out within 24 hours. Don't worry. Although the 25 Artists Proofs have also sold out, I still have copies available of the regular edition.

The original drawing took 47 hours 21 minutes to complete and remains in my private collection.
