"Longhaired Dachshund"



I produced this Longhaired Dachshund drawing around 1995 and I was really looking forward to it. I wanted to contrast the hair on its head with its silky ears and I felt I succeeded. Each boosts the reality of the other. I also made a mistake, which I fortunately corrected before it went into print - at one time it had too many toes on one foot!

The drawing took approximately 75 hours to complete.
